Writing GNOME Apps

G'Morning Guys,

is there something that I should do before I begin to write a GNOME
App ?  Ok, following situation: 

I wrote a small tool like TkGoodStuff in GTK - only for personal
use.  Now I think it's a good idea to make GtkGoodStuff (more ?)
configurable, and then release it.  Is there anyone working on
something like this ?
