Gnome 0.30 installation problems

Hello.
Whenever I try to run any gnome app (panel, ee, gtcd, etc) I get the
following error

Error in loading shared libraries
/usr/lib/libgnomeui.so.0: undefined symbol: gtk_signal_default_marshaller

I'm guessing this is cos I've not installed something properly, but I'm
not sure yet what it is as I think I've installed everything I need. Any
ideas anyone?
