smproxy is automatically run by gnome-session. You shouldn't have to
run it by hand.

Yes. Do you know somebody who actually uses xsm? Weird... I don't
like that program very much.

You can still use xsm if you prefer it. gnome-session doesn't do
anything special. I just wrote it so that it would be invisible,
unles xsm.

TryExec is the name that is looked for in $PATH. Exec is what is
actually run.
Last night I changed Exec so that it can be a multi-word command line
(in a robust way -- previously it worked via a hack).
