Is there any reason that gEdit doesn't use the standard gtk checks from
the macros directory? I am using gtk+ with xinput support and so it
doesn't properly link the Xi library.
Also, is there any reason why we
don't compile gtk+ with support for the Xi libraries in the stock RPMs?
The reason I ask is because I would like to be able to use some stock RPMS
when gnome development becomes more stable. I would like to be able
to run RPMS of certain packages that I don't care about having the latest
an greatest for. The problem is that since I use gtk with
xinput support I have to rebuild everything no matter what so Xi gets
linked:(.
