GTK

Hi, 

I am trying to install gnome on my 5.0 machine.  I went through and did all
the updates listed on the redhat site.  I have tried to use srpm's but an
somewhat confused on what version of GTK I should be using.  The FTP site
has version 1.0.4, but we I tried to compile gnome-admin it was looking for
gkt-1.1, what gives?  I have both installed now, but I am now get errors
about undefined reference to g_completion_add_items.  Any hints would be
helpful and greatly appreciated.  Thanks
