gnome-session problem

[GNU Network Object Model Environment <gnome jporritt demon co uk>]

I've got a few problems with getting gnome-session to start. I've
compiled everything up without problems, and tried several ways of
getting gnome-session to work properly. It seems to start icewm and
gnome-smproxy OK, but not panel, gnome-help-browser or gmc. The latter
3 progs can be started individually however. I'm running the latest
releases of the gnome package. (gnome-core v0.28-1, gnome-libs v0.27,
gnome-utilities v0.28, etc.)

>From the output produced I realise that only the SESSION_MANAGER line
is produced by gnome-session, with icewm producing that below and the
Xserver producing that above.

Has anyone any idea whats up?
