Some of the packages like gdk_imlib and gtk+ provide their own
configuration script. This script is used when you configure your
gnome-libs. To let this work, the place where you installed it must be in

If you for instance installed everything under ~/packages/gnome, make sure
~/packages/gnome/bin is in your path before configuring gnome-libs.
