This is great information, Juanjo.  What gaps are there though?  I know that software delivery is one.  A lot of IT shops are not comfortable giving users root access to people because of the potential for users messing up their systems and creating a support load.

Apart from Puppet, other adm. tools like Chef or SaltStack can be used, just to name a few.
