Re: Portuguese Translation Team (pt)

Dear all,
I think a coordinator for PT-PT can be Brazilian because his job is mainly coordinating the work of translators and getting the translations submitted and merged.
I understand the role of the coordinator as a facilitator and as long as communication between the coordinator and the team members is ensured (which it is), this can be done. The difference between the two languages are minor and case there are questionable strings, let the team discuss it with Juliano.

Better have a PT-BR coordinator than a dead PT-PT team.

+1 for Juliano! Keep up the good energy!

Best, Florian

Mmmm... I'm not sure about this. If Portuguese is different from Brazilian and you don't have a full knowledge about it I don't think it's a good idea to coordinate that team.

I don't know how deep are the differences between both languages, but maybe a Portuguese people might get confused reading some Brazilian terms.

Have you considered joining Brazilian Portuguese translation team in
