Hi Daniel,
besides the Deckard tool, here is a another way to see your
translation live. Just replace the existing .po file(s) of the
app/lib with the one you have translated.
It requires that you run the Gnome release that you are
translating for and you have to have the app installed, though, in
a virtual machine that all works fine and independent of your
production workstation. Currently, I use what will be Fedora 28
for testing Gnome 3.28.

That tool appears to be no longer updated. Are there any
other alternatives? Or can we get it updated with the new gnome
