RE: Translation application on GSoC

Dear Marcos,

Great news and congratulations!

I believe you will make a great job on this project.

That would be wonderful if you include Glossary tab/window into the Gtranslator and everything about

glossaries (possibility to work with custom glossaries, import/export operations.) I suggest the perfect way

about the glossaries would to be integrate StarDict or GoldenDict with Gtranslator, so that those dictionaries, articles or

web resources like Wikipedia could be available from Grtanslator's interface. Ability to add custom spellchecking dictionaries will make

Gtranslator just perfect. Verification tools for translation consistency, tags, terminology should be essential for new Gtranslator.

That also would be great to have a customizable interface to easily move windows and tabs around the interface ;-)

Good luck,

Victor

Subject: Translation application on GSoC

Hello everybody!

Last month I apply to Google Summer of Code with a project about

redesigning and rewriting Gtranslator in Vala. The project has

been accepted! Now I write you to ask for advice and ideas about

what you think this new application should have or don't have.

You can give me ideas about many aspects of the application,

the presence or absence of certain features, how the user interface

should be... If you ever think that your tool should have a

couple of wings and it should be able to fly, this is the time to said

it!

Best regards,

Marcos Chavarría Teijeiro.
