I think I was not clean enough. The 'git diff' command takes as argument a file,
so 'AUTHORS' is an example of such a file. In your previous e-mail I
could see that
the 'AUTHORS' file was modified, thus I asked you to run 'git diff AUTHORS'.
In your current state, if you see a file that appears modified but did
not modify yourself,
you can run 'git diff modifiedfile'.

In your last reply to Claude you hint that you managed to solve the issue with
the many modified files. When you transfer files through a USB stick,
it is good to compress then
to .tar.gz. You can do this from the UI (uses 'file-roller'). This is
also true when you transfer
whole repositories.
