There are attributes you can set for old releases: 'regenerate=0'.  I
forgot how it works and whether it applies to entire releases, or you
have to do it per-module.

Anyway, just like stringfrozen, regenerate should be extended to work
per-release.

So, Damned Lies was designed so that it can keep the previous stats
without that affecting performance or anything.

It's currently automatically sorted, or, iow, unsorted.  Worth adding
some sorting there, definitely.

Please keep all the branches, especially now that you've added links
and anchors for each of them.

I'd also "hide" (collapse TABLE's) older branches using JS so the page
only contains 'recommended' branches.  Btw, you can easily add tags
like that, and they'll be available in templating system.  Just do
something like:

  <branch id="gnome-2-14" recommended="no" />
