I still think its a good thing to have a mechanism to ensure that po
files are sintactically correct before including them in CVS.

Other topic, is the creation of a localization infraestructure.
Last summer I worked in a general GUI localization guide, trying to make
an effort to join several localization projects and share the same
metodologies.

My personal experience is that spanish GNOME localization project works
divided without comunication with KDE l10n and other free software
related localization groups. This is a waste of resources. We could
share translation memories and glosaries. We could point higher and
develop the software that translators need.

Currenly we have po-edit, kbabel, gtranslator. All these tools are
po-specific, and currently it is not possible to share TBX files among
them.

We need a tool to manage general text translation (like manuals).
People at Sun use a tool to manage that kind of docs, but until now we
don't have anything that works.
