I'm sorry, but I'm unable to understand what you meant.

glibc currently have only to @xyz in use: @euro (which btw is now obsolete
and should probably be removed, shouldn't it), and @cyrillic
they are in completly different categories: @euro is about monetry unit,
and @cyrillic about writting script.
There were also in use (but never in glibc afaik): @nynorsk and @tradicional;
the first was to distinguisg a language variant (now it has its own ISO
language code btw, so use of @nynorsk is obsolete and wrong) the second was
used to define traditional LC_COLLATE sorting order for Spanish.

That is, there isn't more than one example per category; I don't think
any "consistency" could be extracted out of a single exemple.
With that argument, the use of ISO script codes is more consistent,
as there are *two* examples in use ("Cyrl" and "Latn").

But my reasoning was:

we are using ISO language codes (and also ISO country codes); so, isn't
it natural to also use ISO script codes when script identification is needed?

And that raise the question of "which full names"?
there is "cyrillic", but what about the others? there are various dozens
of ISO script codes, some of them would be very hard to fit into a single
"full name".
Is there a table of equivalencies available that for each ISO script code
gives the "full name" to use for glibc locale naming if needed ?

The advantage of using ISO script codes is that the naming is already done;
while using "full names" the naming is still to do for all but only one
single case ("cyrillic").
