Wrong. And hopefully there will not be an (n+1)th time. As far as I know,
Mr. Bordoley wasn't even on the scene at the time that this was being
discussed or implemented.

I almost hope you still think that way when people with real influence act.
I say "almost" because I'm not quite sure what you mean by "making a decision"
or "community". Despite protest and no clear decision, large workspaces are
not supported in GNOME 2. In part this is based on ignorance on behalf
of both those for and against them. But ultimately it is because Havoc
controls libwnck and he doesn't want them.

Alex, I don't recall seeing you ask. The decision was made on the basis of:
 http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/proposals/menus.html
and the related discussions.

Windows, OS/2, and CDE disagree with you. I think MacOS does too.

Btw, the right-click menu on menu items feature, which has been described
as crack, is a Win98 feature. The real problem with it is accessibility,
but I remember seeing some of those employed types waste another's time by
flinging the word crack like monkeys fling dung instead of just stating that.
(And it wasn't Ximian employees; the monkey reference is just because that's
what it reminded me of.)

Cheers,
