Maybe I'm exceptional, but I'm used to being able to select and open
multiple files from the same directory at the same time in apps that
support multiple open files.
Apps that don't have this ability I usually find very annoying and maybe
even refuse to use the app.
I usually dont have a file manager open, so a good open dialog is
important.
Consider I have downloaded lots of desktop pictures, and want to browse
them in ee. Repeating the "open file" task for every picture is not
something you want to do 15 times in a row.
