Re: [gnome-flashback] gnome-sessions on Ubuntu 15.10+

Hi,

any chance you could get gdb output from gnome-flashback crash?

Probably easiest way:
- log into session that does work
- open terminal and run 'gdb gnome-flashback'
- set  GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment - 'set env GDK_SYNCHRONIZE = 1'
- run it
- after crash get backtrace - 'bt'

I gave it a try under 16.04 by first manually running xterm from x2go, then manually setting all the appropriate environment variables like XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP, DESKTOP_SESSION etc, and finally running:

/usr/lib/gnome-flashback/gnome-flashback-metacity --disable-acceleration-check --debug

This gave me the following (partial output), which leads me to believe that it's a xorg issue?

Maybe gnome-flashback session now requires the composite extension?

This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)'.
  (Details: serial 111 error_code 1 request_code 149 (RANDR) minor_code 25)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment
variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
