I am just a downstream maintainer and my opinion doesn't much matter,

uncoordinated changes in any of the components.

Of course, if Philipp doesn't like some Alberts' changes, his reviews
and comments will be addressed when possible.

What I really _don't want_ to happen is having two different diverged
versions of gnome-panel (what we currently have in new-master and
wip/gnome-3.10+ branches). Looks like the only way to change that is
to make Alberts the maintainer.

I am currently quite unsure from which branches I should build. I recently upgraded my notebook to Ubuntu 14.04, the gnome-panel-3.8.1 packages have not yet landed in Ubuntu, the master branch has been reverted by Philipp, its quite a mess. I would prefer if we could agree on one master branch (preferably with Alberts patches). Currently there are many issues and problems with the gnome-panel version on my notebook, which are already fixed on my desktop. But the version on my desktop was installed from the original master which Philipp now renamed old-master.
