SuSE (me) simply respects the decision taken by the GNOME core hackers
-- that's the cleanest thing you can do, IMO.

To avoid too much trouble for the writers, we've to ask the hackers, to
switch the appearence of the desktop for major updates only.  1.0 -> 1.2
looks like a major update to me.

I'll try to make sure that the first WM listed in gnome-wm will be
shipped with SuSE's GNOME suite.
