there's no plan, but it's just a matter of somebody writing a provider
for it. This will automatically work in Mergeant (and all libgda-based
applications).

you can import into Gnumeric via libgda so far. About OpenOffice, it
might be a nice addition to add a libgda plugin to OO, and be able to
import data from databases.
