Hmm. in hindsight:
-- I forgot about this/didn't consider it.
-- I needed to interface to existing gnome/C programs
-- didn't want to use other languages (due to above)
-- dwi requires 'zero' programming; its a description language unto
itself: its 'just' xml. It 'just' describes how to link sql table
fields to widgets.
