Re: [gtkmm] Bringing Bonobo to the masses :)

Hi,

First, I precise that I do not have a lot of knowledge on bonobo, and
may not be the best person for answering. But, as Karl Nelson rightly
pointed out, this post should not be left unanswered.

Being a gtk-- user, I am more interested in bonobo-- than in
MonkeyBeans. I also think bonobo-- would be an important additional
component for gtk-- and gnome--.

However, there is already working code for MonkeyBean (I was impressed
by reading that Evolution calendars could already be embedded into AWT
windows), and there seems to be good points for continuing MonkeyBean
(C++ is not as different from C than Java is). So, I'm still a bit
reluctant to encourage discontinuing MB, since I may underestimate those
issues and I would not be able to provide much help if a bononbo--
project starts.

I hope that this post shows that there is interest in a bonobo--
project.

Best regards,

Antoine Requet
