Only the GNOME Bonobo implementation uses GtkObjects, as a way to make the
mapping of CORBA objects to C easier to use.

BTW, someone once mentioned a project to make an idl compiler that creates
abstract GtkObjects for the interfaces, and writing an implementation is
as easy as sub-classing them. What's the status of that nifty idea?
