Thanks, Zeeshan. With help from desrt, danpb and teuf I got the latest
virt-manager built on openSUSE. Now I can import the image with it and
launch the image in Boxes.

Today's Boxes from jhbuild:

mike himon:~> jhbuild run gnome-boxes
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"

(gnome-boxes:913): Boxes-CRITICAL **: media-manager.vala:160: Error

libvirt seems non-functional for some reason, I'd experiment with
killall -9 libvirtd; jhbuild run virsh list --all, and potentially jhbuild
run /home/mike/build/sbin/libvirtd (or wherever this sits in your jhbuild
prefix).
