Thanks, Zeeshan. With help from desrt, danpb and teuf I got the latest
virt-manager built on openSUSE. Now I can import the image with it and
launch the image in Boxes.

My guess would be that this is your main problem. IIRC this happens
when you have libvirt installed both in jhbuild and on the system and
(also IIRC) teuf told me that such setup works fine as long as you
install libvirt in jhbuild twice. So as first thing, see if `jhbuild
buildone libvirt` helps.
It didn't (I get the same error), but I'll try re-importing the image
using Boxes itself.
