Given the responses I've received, this meeting is confirmed. My
apologies for those of you who had requests to move this meeting around.
It's really hard to accommodate everyone's schedules, especially on a
worldwide scale. I know who I hurt on this one, though, and will work
to give your timeframes higher preference next time around.
Main topics:
1) speech: I want us to think more about the overall speech requirements
and then consider speech dispatcher in that scope.
2) magnification: need to consider this as a "larger than magnification"
problem, but more along the lines of something where an assistive
technology can talk to a COMPOSITE manager to zoom/highlight/manipulate
areas of the screen for the purposes of more than just visual impairments.
3) Existing bugs in Bugzilla. We need to identify the top 30-50 bugs
that are solvable and have high impact on the platform as a whole. We
won't need to do this in the meeting, but I need volunteers to help.
Note: the relevant maintainers, or default bug owners will likely have
to be consulted I expect; as well as mentor bug fixes in their module(s)
if they are deemed top bugs. I'm really hoping to bring someone fresh
into the GOK project to help out. It might be a good way of learning a
bit about GOK and then to perhaps participate in planning out the
overall OSK and Alt-Input roadmap in GNOME.
cheers,
David
Thanks, and see you in a few hours,
Will
