How GOK able to get all the contacts in Evolution ?

Hi,
   If I select some address book in Evolution and grab the UI using 
GOK, immediately the list of contacts gets refreshed in GOK. When I try 
the same using at-poke, I don't get the updated address book list. Whats 
the diff between these two ?
