I have the same problem with source compiled sun's mozilla on my
Debian/unstable running GNOME 2.7/2.8.
I think might be Glibc version, i have Glibc 2.3.2  I think that a 2.3.4
it's needed.
The problem it's a segfault running runmozilla.sh on line 455. Try opening
Mozilla from a Gnome-terminal and see the output when mozilla crashes.
  .
could it be  cause the glibc version?
