The usual interpretation of requirements for theme compliance is this:
it must be possible to set the system up so that the default system
settings
are used by the application when the user logs in, without any
additional
user action.

So definitely a "one touch" option to use the GTK+ settings is a good
idea, and it's probably not acceptable to require any user interaction
to achieve this other than setting a single configuration option.  If
it's
not the default (and I think it should be), then it must be configurable
at install time.
