Right, and this is actually a very important requirement from an
accessibility
point of view; cf Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as
published
Dec 2000:
1194.21 (g): "Applications shall not override user selected contrast and
color selections and other user selected attributes", which is explained
to mean that an application must have at the very least a setting that
causes it to use "system" theme settings rather than its own custom
settings.
