Ah, now you're looking for a way to read old desktop configuration.

Starts to get funny this stuff - first George insisted in moving this
out of the core libraries and changing it in a way that it'll now only
read .desktop files and nothing else - and now suddenly we need a way
to read old desktop configuration.

And it's kinda funny - at this time, I was still the libgnome maintainer -
but I said yes to this move since I wanted to freeze in time. Now, George
wants to break the freeze for 6 weeks - a lot more time than I'd have needed
to finish it in libgnome.

Dudes, I start to wonder why I'm still committing my stuff - hacking
and then immediately removing it would have the same effect.
