[gnet] interface name

I have a small function in C to obtain the MTU of a interface,but i need
to obtain the name of the interface like eth0 or lo .
How can i this name under gnet?? and is someone interrested by my
function.
More of that ,i am develloping a fast protocole for ethernet lan, is
this protocole interested someone ??
