Building from source is difficult, particularly when it involves
building new versions of dependencies. Furthermore you should _not_ do
this in your regular /usr prefix. But setting up a separate prefix for
development is difficult. This will always remain difficult, even with
jhbuild to help.

Sorry, but if you can't do this then you have no great reason to try.

Hopefully we'll have Ubuntu Lucid packages of Glom 1.14 soon.
