[Glade-users] best example of menu accelerators

I'm guilding an application with glade 3.6.7 and gkt 2.18.
Can anyone point me to an example of the right/best way to set up menu
accelerators?
I've seen a lot of different discussions of it not working in older versions,
needing to use actions etc.
I have the menus working fine, I just want to add the <ctrl>q to Quit etc.
