It seems after testing it here Glade almost has the right behaviour,
notice when copy/pasting widgets the icons are also copied along and
the properties intact, only it doesnt show up on the screen and the
terminal spews out a widget reparenting warning (that part should be
easy to fix) - right now reloading the project will get you the right
visual effect (but still gives you that reparenting warning).
When I copy a button with an image, with eg. the 'edit' standard icon,
the button gets copied, but the button 'appears' empty. For some reason,
the image name changed from 'edit' to 'gtk-edit', which isn't loaded. So,
each time I copy a button with an image, I have to reselect the correct
name.
Also, when putting an image into a new button, the default is
'gtk-missing-image', but the default size is 'invalid' which makes the
image invisible.
