[Glade-users] Which widget for running records?

  For my contact manager I have the right side of the window dedicated to
show the date of a contact and notes associated with that date. I've learned
that a list view is not the widget I want for it is not editable.

  I suppose that I cannot have two, distinct columns: a narrow one on the
left with the date and a wider, word-wrapped one on the right for notes. Do
I want a text-view widget? Each date's entry will be a separate record in
the table (and related to the individual, of course). I'd like to be able to
enter text and, after the text is entered, view a history of notes (sorted
by date) in a scrollable window.

  Thought just occurred to me ... would the elegant solution be to use a
separate, pop-up dialog box for data entry? If so, how do I modify existing
text in this table?
