Moderately, you would still need to grow & shrink the selection because
it's not a 100% even green, so where the fuzzy select has a tolerance
so all the green can be selected, colour to alpha will make partial
transparency in places.  Also, there may be tiny dots of green in the
actual coins, which aren't in reach of fuzzy select but select by
colour or colour to alpha would affect them.
