The image is a closeup of a scorched portion of the Mars Rover Opportunity’s heat shield that was burned 
during its trip through the Martian atmosphere.

Thanks for the info. I’ll try to get a working plugin now that I’ve found the plugin directory at 
rickkline/Library/Application Support/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins

Do I need to use the cp command or can I copy it in Finder?
