[Gimp-user] All my gimp patterns are carpet

They look correct in the little window,

> well that's a good start -so what do you get if you have the pattern dialog tag
open and right click any pattern > open pattern as image <
if the image is of carpet that's not good and there is a way to sort that out
What I would do is with that problem 'carpet pattern look'  being in all my
patterns is   -remove that one or more carpet patterns in your -    
/home/YOURNAME/.config/GIMP/2.10/patterns  presuming you are on Linux
Don't know much about Widows its roaming or something (need Windows assist here)

(keep the original carpet pattern in a external HD (with all the other personal
files on Ext HD)
now The offending carpet pattern is not in Gimp  
Now it removed completely from Gimp restart the Gimp and let see what happens,
