Go to this address, which is included at the bottom of every email 
that comes from the list:

> http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list


At the bottom of the page is a place to login with your email address 
and then you will be prompted for your password.  If you have 
forgotten your password there is a selection to get a password hint 
and the list will actually send you a new password to login with.

Then you can edit your subscription options or unsubscribe.
