i'm not running gnome desktop. 

Here's the evo alarm process on boot, and RAM footprint, before starting geary. 

evolution-alarm-notify consumes about 50MB RAM

Only folks/geary depend on evolution-alarm-notify. 

Any ideas to reduce footprint of evolution-alarm-notify?

Can't we run it as a process under geary, instead of as service?

i'm not concerned about the other evo pkgs at the moment.
