If Ubuntu is already patching other GTK applications that use a HeaderBar, then I'd say the former. If not, then maybe we should reintroduce the Unity-specific behaviour to workaround their UX. We already have <https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=770617>, so

Yes I can reproduce this with master under yakkety. Please bring back Unity-specific behaviour in master. Unity (or any compiz session) doesn't play well with gtk-headerbar app. For me, couple of ugly bugs returned in 16.10.
As a result it is almost impossible to use headerbar app under these compiz sessions. I can also reproduce crash under mate-compiz and flashback-compiz session as well.
And then there is also window resize issue. Can't properly resize any headerbar app under unity (example gnome-calendar)
11.x series under 16.04 uses traditional titlebar and doesn't have these issues.
Geary is my primary mail client. And I do NOT want it to fall prey to another compiz bug.
Thanks.
