Hi,
I have central LDAP server for login credentials with nslds running on client boxes (Debian Wheezy 64bit), I can see the accounts using "getent passwd" and I can ssh in using login credentials. LDAP logins are not ofered on the logins creen (OK, I see a reason for that) but if I choose "other" from the menu and type in login+correct password, "login" button becomes inactive and nothing happens for next 12 hours or so. I can get back to the main gdm menu by hitting escape. This behaviour is present regardless prior ldap user login. I tried to tweak /etc/pam.d/gdm3, but without any success. Are there any obvious advices I should follow ? I spend a lot of time googling around, but I did not find any clear answer to my question, which is surprising as the number of people runnin GDM and LDAP should be quite high ...
thank you for any reply
George
