I did manage to get the debug addition to custom.conf a few seconds
before the crash but I couldn't see anything that appeared especially
relevant in messages.log - what kind of thing should I look for?
By the way, the last crash (this afternoon) only brought down my desktop
but my thin clients were all happily chugging away for at least an hour
afterwards. That crash began as I typed in my password to get past the
screen saver (which, by the way, is set NOT to lock upon activation!).
