Re: [gdm-list] How do we add a gnome-panel applet to the gnome-panel by default

Renju :

I want to add my own panel applet to the gnome-panel by default. How we can do this?

It probably involves configuring GConf for the panel. I'd recommend
reading the System Admin guide. I'm not sure if the answer is there,
but you should check the manual first. Note if the answer isn't in
the SysAdmin guide, then the interfaces are probably not stable and
may break on GNOME upgrade.

That said, this is not an appropriate question for the GDM list. The
GDM list is for display-manager specific discussion, not for questions
about the GNOME panel or other GNOME modules.

There are other GNOME lists, and one of them is probably more
appropriate for this sort of question. I'd recommend the gnome-hackers
mail list.

What all configurations i need to do to achieve this? Some of the applets we can see by default on the gnome-panel for all user logins. I can add my applet through Add to panel
option, but i just want to add it by default. Please help
