Breaking up such packages (especially the "themed/templated" base
packages like SideCandy etc.) into single-display archives might be a
solution but I personally do not like this idea. It seems a bit strange
if the gDesklets core/skeleton follows (or even worse: has to follow)
the structure and information management of the website.

IF you would be splitting them up, it would be nice to have a switch for
"themed display files" on the website for easier searching etc. (well,
it would be nice to have it anyway... ;) ).

There already are a few themed/templated packages out there, like:

SideCandy
SideStripes
VerticalCandy
FTB
Gauges
Styx (?).

It would be nice to emphasize their existence and encourage the "display
file developers" to write display files for each (or most) of them.
And splitting them up seems to be (IMHO) a move to the opposite direction.

My 5c :).

Greetings, Bjoern
