Hi Guenther,
I see no need for the patch as well. The one patch that I did need is
now included in the latest release which solved the issue with
macbookpro for hal :-D

Not sure if I can follow you here. :) In which cases is this patch
still necessary, if any? When would it not be necessary, what needs to
be done, and what impact does this have?
Since neither Joseph nor me got any Slackware system, we need your guys
help and opinion. We sure prefer not to ship any distro-specific hack,
if possible. Worse, shipping a broken patch...
