I prefer:

WORKSRC = work/main.d/$(GARNAME)-1.3.14
 
CONFIGURE_SCRIPTS = $(WORKSRC)/configure
BUILD_SCRIPTS = $(WORKSRC)/Makefile
INSTALL_SCRIPTS = $(WORKSRC)/Makefile
...
