gnome session segfaulting segv error

I cant see to figure out why but gnome-session keeps segfaulting on me.
I get an error about Bitstream Vera Sans 10 font not found, but this
only seems to be a warning and not a fault. I have the strace and gdb
backtrace output. I hope someone can help me I have been working on this
for days. (I have a funny feeling it is something simple). The gdb and
strace are attached files, I hope the group supports this. If not I will
figure something else out.. ;)
